Anybody? Anybody?
Getting quite the buzz around the office. Was wondering if anyone has picked it up and if they're playing and which platform.

I've not played it yet, but I've been hearing about it the last couple days from a coworker. He says its VERY good and MMO'ish, but an FPS.
Sounds intriguing to me! I'm very tempted to play.
But right now I'm aiming at Dragon Age. I saw a preview for it a couple weeks ago and it looks awesome. I think a few of us in the kin are getting it.

I have Borderlands, and it's very enjoyable. It an FPS/RPG, but not in the same way as Fallout 3. The type of RPG it is, is similar to Diablo. I love it, and I haven't even played online yet.

I was considering it, but I need to play through Dragon Age first, and then play it again, and by then it will be time for Mass Effect 2.
I have been loving it. stopped by at my friends last night and played for about 5 hours. It has a very diablo feel to it. Which isn't a bad thing and several of the Npc's have some amazing commentary and dialogue.
Kind of simple when it comes to quest tracking and lots and lots of gore.

Haven't heard a lot of positve about DA (other than the unearned hype). In fact the only thing I've read was about how poor the graphics are on PC and Xbox 360 compared to Ps3 (and then compaints about Ps3 frame rates).
Borderlands seems to be getting mostly positive buzz from everyone I talk to.
EDIT: ok Dragon Age sounds more interesting now that I know Bio-ware leaned heavily on the Song of Ice and Fire series for their concepts. Great books.

I've been playing both Borderlands (360) and Dragon Age (PC) actually. Borderlands is an awesome co-op experience. Delvin (Lyrak, & Delizan) and Rocky (Rocksanne, Beerstout) and I have been playing it a lot. Spent about 6 hours Sunday afternoon playing together and I gotta say it's definitely a game to play with friends.
I got Dragon Age yesterday and to say I've been blown away by it would be an understatement. I chose the PC version because from what I'd read and seen in comparison it's by far the best version. It visually looks great. I am running it on a 2 year old Gateway P-6831FX laptop with just about everything cranked up. I'd heard the console versions took a hit on resolutions and the big deciding factor was the UI. If you're used to Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights then you'll feel right at home here. The UI is actually quite elegant. The story in this game has blown me away alone. BioWare has impressed before with great story telling in the past in KoToR and Mass Effect. This has been the best I've seen from them, and I'm only 5 hours in. The combat is pretty intense and actually kinda hard even on the Normal setting.
I'll share more as I play through it, but so far it's one of the best RPG experiences I've ever had on a PC, it's the true successor to Baldur's Gate.
My friends were talking about Borderlands yesterday. I've been thinking of picking it up along with another friend. PC, Xbox and PS3 can all play together on the same server, right? That's the deciding factor if my friend buys it.
The closer you get to something, the tougher it is to see it.
Really? I don't get why they would do that. Is it too expensive or something?
