    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

To add more horror to the Broodmother, here is the full poem from the Broodmother trailer. The trailer only had 5 verses, here is the full 11 verses which add some insight into what the Broodmother really is:

First Day, they come and catch everyone.

Second Day, they beat us and eat some for meat.

Third Day, the men are all gnawed on again.

Fourth Day, we wait and fear for our fate.

Fifth Day, they return and it's another girl's turn.

Sixth Day, her screams we can hear in our dreams.

Seventh Day, she grew as in her mouth they spew.

Eighth Day, we hated as she was violated.

Ninth Day, she grins and devours her kin.

Now she does feast, as she's become the beast.

Does this not freak you out?

My favorite companions are Morrigan and Shale. Shale is just so funny and i love Morrigan's dark humor.

On another note has anyone beat Morrigan's mother (I forget her name). I have been trying to beat her without success and ended up just taking the book and leaving her unharmed. Any advice onhow i should go about fighting her for future use?

When I beat her, my character were around 16-17. Make sure you aren't fighting her too early. Also, have Wynne there to heal you, and one who either has a lot of health, heavily armoured as a tank. As you've already seen, she hits hard.

    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

When i went after her I was lvl 11 and I nearly wiped. By the end of it, it was just me on my mage, a lot of pots/fire shards/elfroot and my auto fire, as I had no mana.

But I agree Wynne is a good party member for this, I also had Alistair & Leliana.

    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

I want to make an addition to my favorite characters. In RPGs, I usually play my character as good rather than evil. I just can't bring myself to do evil things.

If only one companion could be called true, pure of heart good, it would be Wynne. She is the kind of character one would love like a mother. A few others come close, but Wynne has to be my favorite companion.

I usually run with Alistair (dual wielding), Leliana (ranged, nice stamina regen buff) and Morrigan. The conversations are hilarious.

    Re: Dragon Age: Origins

On beating dragons...If you have a mage with you or you are the mage...I highly recommend ice magic. The cone of cold is a sure thing even if the target is immune to the damage. It gives your other DPS classes a chance to unleash hell on the target while it's stuck. Also the glyph of paralysis is rather helpful. Like any spell the target will have to pass a resistance check.

I took Flemeth and the high dragon down using Shale, Alistair, Wynne and my toon as a rogue but spec'd for dualist and worked on some dual wielding stats. If you use Shale just put the ice stones on him or spirit. Nature damage is not suggested since most are immune. Alistair was using rally since I had him on champion and templar combo.

Wynne's job is going to be healer. Don't have her doing anything else aside from the occasional ice spell or anything to slow the dragon down. Buffs she puts up are nice too. Other than that pots and dps the damn things down.
