What the heck happened!

Surprise! New forums! New everything technically.

The Vbulletin Suite now comes with a CMS, Blogs, and Forum. So we have some toys.
Unfortunately we lost our skin, it doesn't work with 4.0, so we'll use the default for a little while.

It will take some getting used to but there are a ton of cool features in here (like every forum can be viewed as an RSS feed - good for raid forums!).

Yeah I wasn't expecting things to work out quite this way. I even waited until 4.0.1 was out because the .0.1 patch was supposed to prevent a couple of things I was waiting for. Namely the ability to not have the CMS component take over the /forums folder but to land into the / root instead. But clearly that didn't happen now did it?

Also if you're having trouble logging in, you may need to clear your cookies. Seems this version of the forums gets grumpy with old cookies. Then again, I can relate to being grumpy over old cookies. Blech!

Rumor is 4.0.2 is due in 2 weeks and will fix the CMS issue. We'll see.

On the upside, the bridge between the Forums and the DKP system still works!

Default skin is all right. It was time for a change anyway. What's up with those categories on the old forum home page, though? I can't get into most of em, and the ones I can are in a different language and say the same thing.

I can't take this skin! The white is too bright for my sensitive geek eyes.

OK got the CMS turned off until I figure out what/if I'm going to do with it.
Also, the new side bar 'new posts' is now working. You can hide it if you don't like it but it shows the last 5 posts at a glance.
